Prof. Dr. J.G. Wissema, author of “Towards the Third Generation University – Navigating The University In Transition” whose first issue was published by Özyeğin University Press in 2009, will visit Turkey as the guest of Özyeğin University on April 21, Monday.

All Özyeğin members are invited to the seminar by Prof. Dr. J.G. Wissema to discuss the new areas of use for the knowledge produced by universities in alignment with their changing missions and functions.

Who is Prof. J. G. Wissema?

Prof. J. G. Wissema is an Emeritus Professor at Delft University of Technology. He is also the founder and managing director of Wissema Consulting Ltd. Having been educated in Chemical and Control Engineering  in the UK and in the Netherlands, he pursued his doctoral degree at the University of Manchester in the UK.  He followed a dual career in management, innovation and entrepreneurship consulting on one hand and a university career on the other. Prof. Wissema currently gives strategic management courses at Nijenrode Business University in the Netherlands. He is also an entrepreneur with his own consulting company. He is a consultant to small-to- large scale companies, public institutions and universities and an author of 6 books as well as many articles. Among his books, “Towards the 3rd Generation University” has been translated into 5 languages. His latest research interests include innovation policy, higher education policy and university management.
