We kick off the 2014-15 academic year planting trees for the environment and world peace together with all our students and staff in celebration of the OzU Welcome Week!

Özyeğin University will be the first Turkish university that has ever participated in the ENO Tree Planting Day, which will take place simultaneously all around the world on September 22 (Today), 2014, at 12:00 within the scope of ENO, the online global environment program launched in 2004 in the pursuit of planting trees and protecting the environment for sustainable development.
 
Academic institutions as well as non-governmental organizations and local governments take part in the ENO program; and on September 22, ENO Peace Trees will planted simultaneously in 157 countries all around the world. The first trees are planted in Oceania. Then, following the Sun, trees will be planted in Asia, Europe and Africa. The last trees will be put to Earth on Hawaii and Cook Islands.

As the first Turkish university that has ever taken part in this global initiative, we look forward to seeing all members of Özyeğin University among us to plant 500 trees on our campus.
