Prof. Dr. Mesut Hakkı Caşın Attends the World Congress on Family Law and Children's Rights in Dublin as Speaker

Prof. Dr. Mesut Hakkı Caşın, a member of our Faculty of Law, will attend the World Congress on Family Law and Children's Rights to be held in Dublin, Ireland, between June 4 to June 7, to give a speech. Prof. Caşın will address several critical issues in his speech in the light of the information provided by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, AFAD, and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, including the educational problems of refugee children within and outside refugee camps, early marriage, child labor, and anti-terrorism.  Prof. Caşın will also provide a legal analysis of the economic and political aid of the UN and other international organizations.

The conference will address the educational problems in Turkey, which is currently home to around 550,000 Syrian refugee children. Turkey’s overall contributions to the education of Syrian refugee children and any issues faced during this process will be discussed academically, from the perspective of international law and national law.

The congress aims to offer an academic discussion on Turkey’s aid and support in an international society. Mr. Murat Burhan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ireland, is also expected to attend the congress.
