The Signing Ceremony for the Design-Skill Workshops Academic Cooperation Protocol Takes Places in Sabancı Öğretmenevi, Anadolu Hisarı (Anatolian Fortress)

The ceremony took place with the participation of Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Can, Deputy Governor of Istanbul, Mr. Levent Yazıcı, Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education, and rectors and administrators from Istanbul-based universities. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk also attended the ceremony where Ms. Filiz Gülhan, Provincial Coordinator of the Design-Skill Workshops, made a presentation about the scope of the project to the participants.

The Istanbul Design-Skill Workshops Academic Cooperation Model was developed for the effective operation of the educational process of the Design-Skill Workshops as a culmination of the cooperation between the Provincial Directorate of National Education and Turkish universities.  The cooperation is intended to integrate theory with practice, train Design-Skill Workshop instructors and bachelor’s degree holders interested in the fields of workshops, transform the workshops into fields of research for universities, and build new resource rooms for universities.
