Winners Announced for the Online Music Hackathon Co-Run by Yandex and Özyeğin University

Organized with a content exclusively developed by Yandex for the Özyeğin University students and alumni, the Online Music Hackathon took place from July 17 through 20 as participants competed in teams to design real-life solutions for the future of music. The Music Hackathon was held online via Özyeğin University’s digital amenities under the mentorship of Yandex, a leading technology company and provider of music streaming solutions, among many other innovative products and services.

Under the motto of “Innovate, Learn, and Share Your Ideas”, the hackathon was organized to recognize and reward creative software developers, designers, marketing professionals, musicians, producers, and product visionaries who will re-design the relationship with music. A total of 10 Özyeğin University graduates and 41 Özyeğin University students participated in the hackathon, competing in 13 different teams. The hackathon assessed participants based on a set of judging criteria, including “Solution and Pitch”, Demo, Design, and UX”, “Business Model, Competition, and Team”, and “Feasibility and Impact”. As a result, the team made up of Ece Yunt, Ali Kaan Kurbanzade, and Deniz Can Köse placed first among the 13 competing teams. All participants were awarded online certificates of participation, while the winning teams were given the opportunity to collaborate with Yandex to develop a new product.
