2021 Spring Semester Dorm Application

Dear Students,

During the online conduct of Spring 2021 semester activities, a limited number of rooms will be made available at the dorms as per the measures taken due to the pandemics, similar to that in Autumn 2020, for any students who do not have any other options than living there. As a result, applications will be admitted such that only 1 person would live in each room regardless of the type of room, and the details of the Spring semester accommodation at dorms are as follows.

 Application for Dorms

• Housing application for the rooms available for single person will open on 01 February 2021, 12:00 pm and remain open until 03 February 2021, 05:00 pm on SIS>>Dormitory Process >>Dormitory Application Form Screen.

Students will be accommodated according to the room assignment results to be announced on 05 February 2021, and the students will be required to pay the deposit and room price together.

Deposits and room prices are to be paid from 05 to 07 February 2021. 

The room price has been set as TL 13,425.00 for Spring 2021 based on the price for 1-3 person room type.

Placement

A limited number of rooms will be made available according to the first come, first served principle based on the date and time of application.

Foundation year students may submit their documents in accordance with the healthcare procedure and enter their rooms on 07 February 2021.

Undergraduate students may submit their documents in accordance with the healthcare procedure and enter their rooms on 21 February 2021.

COVID-19 Dorm Rules

In the Spring semester, the rules of Dormitory Directives shall remain valid as are and some extra measures and rules have also been introduced due to COVID-19. The rules may be updated according to the course of the pandemics and any future decisions of authorities. The additional rules applicable during your housing are as follows: 

• Take a PCR test and send the results of the test to saglik@ozyegin.edu.trat least 48 hours before accommodation.
• Additional PCR tests may also be required in certain intervals on dates to be announced during your accommodation throughout the Spring Semester. You have to take these tests.
• You are required to attend the weekly healthcare examination.
• You are required to inform the Office of Accommodation Services if you need to go out of the university campus during your on-campus accommodation. This information will also be shared with the Security unit.
• Pursuant to the decision of the Ministry of Economy, the social distance rules for all restaurants and cafes in the overall country are also applicable for on-campus common areas, desks and tables. 
• The obligation to wear a mask and maintain social distance in the overall campus also covers the area of dorms. Wearing a mask is compulsory outside of your room, in the overall dorm and campus area.
• Any requests for cancelling the periodic room cleaning will not be accepted, and the rooms are required to be cleaned during this period.
• You are required to comply with all sanitation rules for rooms and common areas. Any unattended food, beverages and items etc. in common areas will be considered garbage and thrown away immediately.
• You are required to comply with any and all applicable regulations; mainly the Dorm Guidelines, any future regulations and measures for the pandemics as well. Otherwise, your accommodation will be cancelled without any prior notice. 
• Students’ personal data may be disclosed to various official authorities during the current period of pandemics.
• Özyeğin University may not be held accountable for infection with COVID-19 virus or other similar malignity during on-campus accommodation.
