Our Students Won Undergraduate Student Paper Award At The IEOM Rome Conference
Our Industrial Engineering students Utku Yavuz, Mehmet Can Aydın, Yarkın Akçıl, Alp Orhan Özver, Çağla Deniz Özmen and Aslı Erol returned home with an award from the 4th IEOM (International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management) Rome Conference held from August 2 through August 5, 2021. The team, advised by Associate Prof. İhsan Yanıkoğlu in the School of Engineering, sent a paper to the industrial engineering and operational research section of the competition which was organized as part of the conference, and made an online presentation on research and development, logistics, routing, clustering, inventory, and supply chain management on August 2. As a result of the jury evaluation, our team were listed among the winners and honoured with an award in recognition of their paper “A Math-Heuristic Approach for Two Echelon Vendor Managed Inventory Routing Problem”. We would like to congratulate and wish them continued success.
