Our University Hosts the 14th Interior Architecture Students Meeting

The 14th Interior Architecture Students Meeting took place at our University under the theme of “Metaphor in Design” on December 2-3, 2017. The 14th Interior Architecture Meeting brought together Interior Architecture students from all over Turkey on our campus. The event featured prominent guest speakers, including Mr. Murat Germen, renowned Turkish photographer, Mr. Yılmaz Zenger, world-renowned designer and architect, and Mr. Cem Yücel, architect and partner at Mars Architects.

The main theme of this year’s event was “Metaphor in Design”. The grand meeting drew 480 students from the Interior Architecture, and the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design departments at 40 universities. The event program included 27 workshops. 300 students participated in these workshops, and the workshop outputs were exhibited on the second day of the event. Over the course of these two days, invited architects, interior architects, industrial designers, lighting designers, acoustical experts, and artists delivered presentations and shared their professional approach with the participants.

On the second day of the event, Murat Germen, Özgül Öztürk, Cem Yücel, Azize Yıldız, Tanju Kılıçarslan, Muhammet Taşlı, Yılmaz Zenger, Ali Berkman, Suzi Levi, Ayşim Bulut, Demir Obuz and Nil Deniz shared their experiences with the Interior Architecture students, and exchanged opinions about design and architecture.
