Özyeğin University Faculty Member Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ Honored with IFIP Service Award, Marking a First in Türkiye
Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University, was honored with the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Service Award. Thus, Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ was named the first scientist from Türkiye to receive the IFIP Service Award.
Representing IT Societies in 38 countries across 5 continents, IFIP annually recognizes distinctive scientists from the world’s leading universities. Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ has been named one of the 11 select researchers presented with the IFIP Service Award this year in recognition of the services he offered for the development of IFIP and IT Societies. In addition to his sustained contributions to the academia, Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ also led the organization of VLSI-SoC, one of the IFIP and IEEE congresses, with a record attendance in Türkiye.
IFIP was established in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO. Recognized by prestigious international organizations, in particular the United Nations, IFIP steers research and development under its 13 technical committees (TCs).
