Özyeğin University Faculty Member Assistant Professor Göktürk Poyrazoğlu Attends the Turkish Atlantic Security Conference as a Panelist

Assistant Professor Göktürk Poyrazoğlu, the Head of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Özyeğin University, participated as a panelist in the session "Critical Infrastructure and Strategic Mineral Security for NATO Allies in the Process of Energy Transition and Cyber Security” during the Turkish Atlantic Security Conference, held from February 2 to 4, 2024. The session was moderated by esteemed retired Ambassador Fatih Ceylan, the former Permanent Representative of Türkiye to NATO. Assistant Professor Poyrazoğlu was accompanied by Prof. Mitat Çelikpala, Vice Rector of Kadir Has University, who also attended the session as a speaker.

During the session, Assistant Professor Poyrazoğlu shared valuable insights into the ongoing research conducted by him and his team at the Grid Operations and Planning Laboratory at Özyeğin University, spanning a broad array of topics from renewable energy and energy storage systems to strategic minerals which have seen increased demand due to the rising popularity of electric vehicles.
