Özyeğin University Student Said Bolluk’s Master’s Thesis Qualifies for REHVA Competition

Said Bolluk, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil Engineering at Özyeğin University, has qualified to participate in an international competition organized by the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations (REHVA) in May 2024 with his master’s thesis.

In the first phase, Bolluk competed in the national competition held by the Turkish Society of HVAC and Sanitary Engineers, representing REHVA in Türkiye, with his thesis titled “Urban Building Energy Modeling: Integrating Dynamic and Data-Driven Models for Time-Series Analysis.” Having achieved the highest score in this competition, Bolluk has qualified to represent Türkiye in the second stage, an international competition scheduled for May 2024. Said Bolluk completed his master's thesis within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3501 project “Development of a Hybrid Approach for Urban Building Energy Modeling” led by Assistant Prof. Senem Seyis from the Department of Civil Engineering at Özyeğin University.
