Associate Prof. Ş. Nuray Akın Duran Elected to the Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye

Associate Prof. Ş. Nuray Akın Duran, a faculty member of the Department of Economics at Özyeğin University, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye. Associate Prof. Akın Duran’s appointment to this significant position was announced to the public on March 28, 2024, by the Public Disclosure Platform.

In addition to her rigorous research on the improvement of growth performance estimates of developing countries, migration and fiscal policies, and pricing of goods and assets under changing competitive conditions, the administrative roles that Associate Prof. Akın Duran has assumed over the years at Özyeğin University (including Director of Master of Business Administration Programs, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Business, and currently the Head of the Department of Economics) have played an important role in her selection for this position. Dr. Akın Duran’s new role also serves as a testimony of Özyeğin University’s commitment to community outreach, one of the most important constituents of our identity as a research university integrated with sectors.
