This Year, In Celebration of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, We Make Children in Anatolia Smile

This year to celebrate April 23rd, Duyarlı OzU is bringing bicycles, educational supplies and more to children in various regions of Turkey.

The Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation and OzU Psychology Department students bring bicycles, computers, art supplies, educational toys and more to 3 schools in the Kavar region of Tatvan.

Özyeğin Üniversity students and the Duyarlı OzU team are also traveling to the Tortum region of Erzurum where they will deliver bicycles to children, teach children safe-riding strategies and paint 9 classrooms in a village elementary school.

In addition to the gifts that OzU students are bringing to these children in need, our students will see where the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation undertakes important development work, building schools and investing in honey and milk production. They will get a firsthand picture of what it is like to grow-up in rural areas of Turkey and will gain new perspectives on social responsibility projects that could benefit people in Tatvan and Erzurum.

During shared games and conversations our OzU students will be inspiring these children, showing them the positive impact a university education might have on their futures.
