Hospitality Leaders Meet Our Students

A testimony to Özyeğin University’s sector-integrated education philosophy, the annual “Sectoral Meeting” event took place this year with the participation of over 60 leading businesses from the hospitality and food and beverages sectors. “Sectoral Meeting” brought together the Undergraduate Hotel Management and Undergraduate Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students with department heads and top management of pioneering hospitality and food and beverage businesses to learn more about internship and work opportunities, and submit their first applications.

This year marked the seventh edition of “Sectoral Meeting”, which took place on Çekmeköy Campus of Özyeğin University on December 5. The seventh Sectoral Meeting event was celebrated this year with more than 60 businesses. The event gave Özyeğin University students the opportunity to meet their future employers for their mandatory summer internships and advanced level internships, and seek career consultancy from the seasoned representatives of the sector about their career goals. Meanwhile, our graduation candidates also had the chance to discuss potential employment opportunities.

This year, the seventh Sectoral Meeting event played host to global hotel chains, including Accor, Hilton Worldwide, Marriott International, Radisson Blu Hotels, Four Seasons, InterContinental Hotels Group, Kempinski Hotels, Mandarin Oriental,  Six Senses Hotels, Resorts, Spas, and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. The event also featured prestigious national hotel chains including The Marmara Hotels, Divan Group, Dedeman Hotels & Resorts,  Maxx Royal Resorts, and Avantgarde Collection, as well as distinguished hotels including Hillside Beach Club, Nikki Beach Resort, and Biblos Resort Alaçatı.

Sectoral Meeting also brought together students with pioneering food and beverage businesses, including D.ream, Shaya, Turkish Do & Co, Frankie, Sunset Grill & Bar, Şans Restaurant, Çiya Kebap, Eataly, Beyaz Fırın, Petit Pain, and Od Urla. Unlike previous years, this year, Sectoral Meeting also welcomed Doluca Wines, as well as Talya Bilişim and Hotel Linkage, the pioneers of hospitality technologies, to share employment opportunities in hospitality information technology with the students.
