Emrah Özturan obtained his B.Sc. from Anadolu University, Department of Industrial Design in 2010, and M.Sc. in Industrial Design from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2015, where he is currently pursuing his doctoral studies and is a Ph.D. candidate. He had professional experience as a product designer between 2010 and 2012, and worked as a research assistant at ITU Department of Industrial Design between 2012 and 2022. His research mainly focuses on design culture, design history and criticism, and media and visual studies.
