Aligned with its learner-centered vision, Özyeğin University provides students with comprehensive support for their academic, cultural, psychological, and social development. As a unit operating under the Dean of Students Office, the Student Development and Experience Department supports the cultivation of research-based critical thinking, intellectual enrichment, social awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility - core competencies that Özyeğin University aims to instill in its students.

Through social and individual learning projects, student club programs, and a wide range of cultural activities planned with active student participation, the department contributes to the creation of a rich and engaging university experience. It facilitates students’ adaptation to university life and offers opportunities to develop professional competencies and essential skills.

The Student Development and Experience Department guides students in aligning their academic goals with lifelong learning objectives, supports their decision-making processes, and monitors their overall development.

The department’s areas of responsibility include Orientation Programs; Academic, Personal, and Social Development Activities; Student Experience and Enhancement; Student Clubs and Communities; International Student Adaptation Initiatives; and Services for Students with Disabilities and Special Needs.

Designed to help all new students adapt to their journey at ÖzÜ as quickly and efficiently as possible, Orientation Programs aim to introduce students to the rich academic, social, and cultural life at ÖzÜ. This program, where students meet their peers, faculty members, Faculty Academic Advisors, Peer Advisors, and Student Development and Experience Units – all of whom will accompany them throughout their university life – is a comprehensive introductory platform that supports a strong start to university life, reinforces a sense of belonging, and offers a holistic adaptation process to campus life.
