About Us

The Sectoral Education Program is engineered in line with Özyeğin University’s experiential educational philosophy that is seamlessly “integrated with sectors”. The program is designed to build on academic and professional development of students, prepare them for their future careers in the best way possible, and increase their awareness of sectors.

OzU students take the “Sectoral Education” courses starting from their freshman years. During these courses, students are exposed to different sectors and fields through a curriculum enriched with online resources, guest speakers, sectoral analyses, case studies and company projects. In addition to in-class sectoral practicum activities, students also personally experience different sectors and tracks outside the class.

The Sectoral Education Program integrates university life with professional life to contribute to the holistic development of OzU students. The program enables students to build on the skills they will need to discover who they are and make educated decisions for their future careers.

Sectoral Education Program and 2016 International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN):

Our University was among the 19 universities and the only university from Turkey included in the 2016  international sustainable campus best practices annual report of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) and Global University Leaders Forum (GULF); which is the academic platform of World Economic Forum.   In this report, our Sectoral Education program was showcased as one of the best examples of how universities are developing their students’ sustainability skills and building their capacities in collaboration with corporate partners.
