1. What is Özyeğin University Campus Card?

The Özyeğin University Campus Card is a student ID card which verifies that the holder is a student of Özyeğin University. You may also use your Campus Card at our  libraries,   copy centers, and shuttles.

You are required to keep your student ID card with you at all times and present it, especially at all entrances or during examinations.

Student ID cards are valid throughout the period of study. 

2. Where do I apply for the Özyeğin University Campus Card?

Campus Cards are now being prepared for new students who are placed by the Student Selection and Placement Center and will receive their first Campus Cards. Once the cards are issued, they will be distributed by Student Services. When your Campus Card is ready, you will be notified via email by Student Services. Cards of international students, newly admitted graduate students, and transfer students (horizontal and vertical) are issued by the Security Center upon enrollment. These students may have their cards printed at the Security Center on Floor -2, AB1 Faculty of Engineering building after they complete their enrollment in the University. 

Students must bring a passport size photo with them in order to have their Campus Cards printed. You do not need to make any payment for your first-time Campus Card as all first time Campus Cards are free.  

3. What are the advantages of the Campus Card?

Campus Card is used to access the University premises, laboratories, and dormitories, and to borrow books from the OzU libraries. Furthermore, you may load money to your Campus Cards at the money loading points (cash-to-card kiosks) to get print-outs from on-campus printers and pay your shuttle fees at discounted rates.

4. Frequently Asked Questions

  •  Where can I load money into my card? 

You may deposit money into your Campus Card only at on-campus money loading points (cash-to card kiosks).  In order to use your card at photocopiers and printers, you must load money into your card in cash. However, to use your card to pay your shuttle fees, you may load money into your card both in cash and by credit card.

  • My card is lost/stolen/damaged. What should I do? 

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, please follow the steps below:

- Report it to our Security Center at 0 216 564 9155,

- Submit a replacement card request via the Document Request screen on the Student Information System (SIS), and pay the replacement fee of 20 TL,

- Scan and send a passport-size photograph of you at guvenlik@ozyegin.edu.tr. Then visit the Security Center on Floor -2 in the Faculty of Engineering Building (AB-1) to collect your replacement card. If you are not able to send your photograph via email, bring your photograph with you to the Security Center. Card Issuance Hours: Weekdays, 09:00 - 12:00 / 13:00 – 16:00

The replacement card fee is 20TL for the academic year of 2017-2018. The replacement card fee can be paid by credit card via the SIS (https://sis.ozyegin.edu.trwhile placing the replacement card request. 

  • The magnetic chip of my card does not work. What should I do?

Contact the Information Systems - User Support Unit to verify the card identification details. If there are not any problems with the card identification details, and the problem is solely caused by the demagnetization:

- Scan and send a passport-size photograph of you at guvenlik@ozyegin.edu.tr. Then visit the Security Center on Floor -2 in the Faculty of Engineering Building (AB-1) to collect your replacement card. If you are not able to send your photograph via email, bring your photograph with you to the Security Center. Card Issuance Hours: Weekdays, 09:00 - 12:00 / 13:00 – 16:00

The replacement card fee is not charged to students who return their campus cards to the Security Center due to demagnetization. However, if the demagnetized card is not returned, students need to pay a replacement card fee of 20 TL.

  • I have requested a replacement card. When can I collect it?

Replacement card requests submitted within the working hours on weekdays are fulfilled within the same day. Requests submitted outside the working hours are fulfilled during the working hours. Once you submit your replacement card request and pay the replacement card fee via the Student Information System (SIS), then you may have your card printed at the Security Center on Floor -2 in the Faculty of Engineering Building (AB-1).

  •  Do I need to renew my card every year? What are the validity terms and conditions?

Card must be renewed annually with a new stamp for the respective academic year. The stamp must be obtained from Student Services and stuck at the back of the card at the beginning of the academic calendar, after course registrations.

  •  Can I cancel my card?

Since the Campus Card is your Student ID card, you must use this card throughout your period of study at Özyeğin University. 

  • Where will I return my card when I leave  the University? How will my card be cancelled?

In the event of graduation, withdrawal or dismissal from the University,  you must return your card to the Security Center while completing your graduation/withdrawal/dismissal procedures. Once you complete your graduation/withdrawal/dismissal procedures, your card will be automatically cancelled by the Security Center. Therefore, if any, you must use the remaining balance on your card before completing your graduation/withdrawal/dismissal procedures. Once your card is cancelled, you will not be able to use the remaining balance on your card. 

Other Miscallenous Important Reminders about the Campus Card:

  • Once your Campus Card is presented to you, you are responsible for your Campus Card.
  • Your card is valid as long as it has the stamp of the respective academic year on it.
  • If you find a lost Campus Card, you must report it to the Özyeğin University Security Center via email at guvenlik@ozyegin.edu.tr or by phone at  0216 564 9155.
