Technopedagogical Education Framework

Vision: To achieve excellence in the delivery of learning, teaching, research, and outreach activities via digital and in person environments by supporting quality assurance at an international level.

Mission: To satisfy the technopedagogical needs pertaining to  learning, teaching, research, and outreach activities in digital and in person environments.

Mechanism: The Office for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (OLTE), which reports to the Rector’s Office, is in charge of responding to all technopedagogical needs in OzU’s all activities and enhancing OzU’s technopedgagogical capabilities. With its experts holding scientific practical experience in the fields of teaching, learning, and technological design, OLTE coordinates and monitors all activities and offers recommendations for improvement to the senior management in cooperation with academic and administrative units within the scope of the 'Technopedagogical Education Framework’.

Educational Objectives

  • To design, implement, monitor, and make valuable digital and in person learning/teaching environments and methods in the light of contemporary developments and trends,
  • To develop new approaches and learning areas in digital and in person environments that learners can blend with their subject knowledge and learning experiences in order to attain transformative competencies
  • To improve and diversify evaluation and assessment process in digital and in person learning environments,
  • To design and develop digital and face-to-face applications and contents that create cognitive and social presence, and to support practitioners,
  • To plan or organize educational activities in order to develop the technopedagogical competencies of primary stakeholders who will play an active role in this process, in particular faculty and students,
  • To provide equal opportunities to people with special needs by organizing activities to enable them to actively benefit from digital and in person amenities,
  • To create a cooperation strategy for teaching and learning processes in collaboration with all stakeholders,
  • To facilitate the development of physical designs, systems, and applications to enrich in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous teaching and learning experiences.

Research & Development Objectives

  • To conduct research, development, and organizational activities in order to develop digital amenities and resources both in terms of quality and quantity,
  • To cooperate with national and international institutions, to conduct and support scientific research/projects, and to publish periodicals and non-periodicals in order to make digital and in person teaching and learning processes more effective and efficient.

Internationalization Objectives

  • To set measures at national and international standards for the effective, efficient, and reliable administration of classes held in digital and in person environments,

Outreach Objectives

  • To offer the outputs and experiences obtained from the University’s online and face-to-face teaching-learning and research & development activities at the service of society through evidence-based methods,

Administrative Objectives

  • To execute the quality assurance system for digital and face-to-face environments and make it sustainable for the University’s strategic plan development,
  • To plan and execute analytical systems to enable the effective and efficient management and supervision of online and in person processes in digital environments,
  • To follow and evaluate digital footprints left behind in digital environments related to the teaching and learning process, and provide feedback to academic and administrative units for necessary improvements,
  • To respond swiftly to urgent digital changes and transformations, to follow technologies and designs that can transform the future, to cooperate with internal and external units/institutions to experiment with these new practices and integrate them to the University.
