Message from the Dean

The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Özyeğin University has a brief but successful history of cultivating young architects and designers who are creative, critical thinkers, equipped with the necessary professional knowledge and skills to be leaders in their fields and society, and vested with a highly developed sense of social and environmental responsibility.

The departments of Architecture, Industrial Design, Communication and Design, and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design aim to prepare the next generation of architects and designers who take an interdisciplinary approach to complement sustainable design-oriented education with research and practice at different scales from city to product, who understand the importance of entrepreneurial, integrated design, technology and innovative approaches, and who can integrate with the modern world while still preserving their own cultural values.

To that end, our AB4 building, which opened its doors in the 2019-2020 Spring Semester, offers an environment that stimulates the imagination of our students and makes design education highly enjoyable with its shared study spaces, exhibition areas, and forum section. I wish success to all our newly admitted students for the next four years of their studies with ever increasing motivation and enthusiasm under the guidance of our robust faculty who will guide them every step of the way.
