Dr. Gökçe Elif Baykal received her B.A. in Sociology from Marmara University in 2006, M.A. in Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design from Sabancı University in 2012, and Ph.D. in Design, Technology and Society Program with Graduate Studies Excellence Award from Koç University in 2018. She carried out her postdoctoral research in Information Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark between 2018-2020. In the past years, she has worked as a screenwriter for TRT Çocuk (National Broadcasting Channel in Turkey) television series for children. Dr. Baykal works on child-computer interaction as a subfield of human-computer interaction (HCI) and her research interests include human-centered design, interaction design, participatory design, learning technologies, and technology-mediated collaborative learning.
