Dr. Erinç Albey received his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. After completing his PhD in 2012, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and instructor in the fields of operation research and production systems in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University. During his academic work, he also participated in collaborative industry projects with partners such as SAP, Intel Corporation and Novartis. Besides his academic studies, he worked as a chief scientist in a customer analytics startup where he developed models for customer life time value analysis, churn and next-product-to-buy prediction. His research interests are optimization, planning and scheduling, predictive analytics, mathematical modeling and simulation applications in flexible manufacturing systems.
