Designing novel porous materials, modeling adsorption/diffusion in porous materials, developing machine-learning models for gas adsorption in porous materials
Dr. Hakan Demir obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Middle East Technical University followed by a Ph.D. degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, which are all in chemical engineering. After the Ph.D. studies, he conducted research at University of Minnesota, University of Houston, and Koc University as a postdoctoral researcher. His current research interests mainly include designing new porous materials, modeling gas adsorption/diffusion in porous materials, and developing machine-learning models for the prediction of gas adsorption in porous materials
