Forensic Medicine, Forensic Traumatology, Child Neglect and Abuse

Miraç ÖZDEMİR graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, which he started in 2011, in 2017. After his 6-month compulsory service at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Training and Research Hospital Emergency Department, which was his first place of duty as a General Practitioner, he started his Forensic Medicine specialty training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Forensic Medicine, with the Medical Specialization Exam (2018). After 4 years of specialist training, he was entitled to receive the title of Forensic Medicine Specialist in 2022 with his thesis on "Identification".
In the same year, he established the Forensic Medicine Polyclinic at the University of Health Sciences Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, which he started with the appointment of Civil Service Obligation, and he still works in the same unit as the only forensic medicine specialist of the hospital.
Miraç ÖZDEMİR, who has a special interest in Forensic Traumatology, Child Neglect and Abuse, continues his work to popularize clinical forensic medicine practices. He serves as an alternate board member of the Association of Forensic Medicine Specialists (ATUD) between 2019 and 2023, and as a member of the Board of Directors as of 2023. He is a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber.
