Serkan Dogan received his undergraduate degree from the Turkish Military Academy in 1997, his Masters and PhD degree from the Inonu University Social Sciences Institute, Department of Management Organization in 2005 and 2021 respectively. 

After graduating from the Land Forces Flight school as a pilot in 1999, he worked at various flight departments of the Land Forces until 2023 accumulating 6500 flight hours. He participated in numerous Search&Rescue operations as a pilot during his tenure. His research areas are strategic leadership, transformational leadership and other leadership areas, crisis management, strategic management, strategic planning, innovation, transformation, pilot training, resource management, distant learning and flight tranining.
