Applied courses will be carried out within the framework described by the public authority for Covid-19 New Normal rules.
For personal hygiene, students are required to attend the kitchen classes in full uniforms including a hat, neck tie, chef jacket, name badge, apron, chef trousers, dark-colored plain socks and kitchen shoes. Jackets and trousers are also compulsory for demonstrations.
Students are responsible for their uniforms cleaning.
Long hair should be tied back.
Nails should be short, trimmed and clean.
No excessive make up, perfume or nail varnish (including the transparent ones) are allowed.
No jeweler and watches are allowed. The only item permitted is a plain wedding ring.
All the neck ties and scarfs -if used- should be white and made of inflammable material.
Male students who wear a moustache and/or beard are required to be clean-shaven in accordance with hygiene regulations. Students who have a valid reason for maintaining facial hair must submit a petition addressed to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Upon approval of their request, they will be permitted to wear a food-production balaclava hood (hairnet hood) or a similar protective covering throughout practical classes. Failure to properly use the approved protective covering, or violation of any other hygiene and sanitation regulations, will result in dismissal from the practical class. No make-up session or compensation will be provided for any practical work missed as a result of such violations.
