Özyeğin University, a dynamic and innovative institution located in Istanbul, is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor faculty position. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in research and teaching who are eager to contribute to the interdisciplinary academic environment of our university.

In 2013, the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design was established with the objective of fostering professional responsibility and ethical awareness through the development of design/construction/production knowledge and skills. This is achieved through interdisciplinary research, theoretical and applied enquiries, and experimental, critical, and creative perspectives, which are used to create dynamic, user-centred living environments in environmental, social, and technological contexts. Our department is an educational member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI).
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in interior architecture or interior architecture and environmental design, PhD in a related design field (interior architecture, environmental control systems, design computing or interdisciplinary design programs),
- Commitment to excellent teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels (Course load: 3+2),
- Actively participating in the formation of multidisciplinary research and collaborations,
- Candidates must have published their research outputs in internationally recognized academic journals (SSCI, SCIE, AHCI, Scopus indexed) or submitted to relevant journals for publication and be in the peer-review process.
- Being involved in national and/or international research projects is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and presenting innovative undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Conducting high-impact research to be published in top-tier academic journals.
- Advising undergraduate and graduate students and contributing to the development of the department's academic programs.
- Collaborating with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives.
- Develop a strong research plan to apply for research funds such as TÜBİTAK, Horizon and ERC.
- Actively serve the university, professional organizations and academic communities.
