The Panel Discussion “Legal and Technical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence” Takes Place with Expert Speakers

As our University undertakes many successful projects in artificial intelligence and robotics technologies which will leave their mark on this century, the ongoing conferences and panel discussions also continue to shed light to students on this important subject.

The recent panel discussion “Legal and Technical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence” was held with invited expert speakers to address the latest developments that propel technology across the globe, as well as issues caused by these developments, legal consequences thereof, and the latest discussions about artificial intelligence.

Dr. Özlem Armağan, a member of the Faculty of Law at our University and also the moderator of the panel discussion, addressed use of artificial intelligence and robotics in war, autonomous steps, and legal liabilities in her speech. Prof. Dr. H. Levent Akın, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Boğaziçi University, shared the latest developments in robotics and autonomous systems with participants.    Assistant Prof. Reyhan Aydoğan, a member of the Department of Computer Engineering at our University also shared information about intelligent systems and automated settlement systems. Mr. Mehmet Teoman Alemdar, Director of the School of Applied Sciences, delivered a speech titled “Robotics in Hotels” and addressed the impacts of new generation technologies on tourism.
