* Students who complete the registration process between July 1 - September 29, 2026 will start their education in the 2026-2027 Fall semester.
* Students who complete the registration process between September 30, 2026 - November 30, 2026 will start their education in the 2026-2027 Spring semester.

Those who fail to enroll by the specified date will forfeit their right to enroll at the University. Students who have made pre-payments for enrollment but fail to complete their enrollment for any reason other than visa rejection will not be reimbursed for the pre-payments. The enrollments of students who are later found to not meet the necessary requirements for enrollment or who subsequently lose these qualifications will be terminated, even if they have already been enrolled.

Students who have been accepted to Özyeğin University in the 2026-2027 Fall Semester under the Foreign Student (YDO) quota, must complete their enrollment process online until the above-specified date.

PRE-ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
Visa Application and Legal Stay Status Checks and Controls in Türkiye

Foreign students are obligated to obtain a student visa for enrollment and complete Equivalency Letter procedures. Please make sure you apply for a student visa before coming to Turkey. You can find the visa requirements for foreign nationals coming from abroad here.

Prior to university enrollment, candidates are required to have their legal stay status in Türkiye checked by Student Services. Student Services is required obtain a foreign national identification number (FIN) from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. To facilitate these checks and obtain the foreign national identification number, international students entering Türkiye must have an entry stamp affixed to their passports upon arrival at the border.

Procurement of Equivalency Letter (For Turkish citizens by birth or those who acquired Turkish citizenship later on)

Equivalency Letter is a document that states that your high school diploma / graduation certificate / exam results / certificate are equivalent to those obtained in Turkey, and it is a legal obligation to obtain. Without this document, you cannot continue your education in Turkey within the legal framework.

Turkish citizens by birth or those who acquired Turkish citizenship later on are required to acquire Equivalency Letter. Please note that failure to obtain the Equivalency Certificate will result in the termination of your affiliation with our University.

High School Diploma Equivalency Letter can be obtained from provincial/district education directorates in Turkey, and from education consultancy and/or education attachés abroad. You can reach the relevant overseas representatives here. Students must apply for the Equivalency Letter in person. We strongly remind you that the Equivalence Letter must be obtained before enrollment. If it is not possible to obtain this Letter from your country, OzU International Office will inform you on how to obtain the Equivalency Letter from Turkey. We would like to remind you that it is the students' responsibility to obtain the Equivalency Certificate. Obtaining the Equivalence Letter is a long process. Therefore, we strongly remind you that before you come to Turkey, you must obtain the relevant document from your own country if you can, and if you cannot, you must come to Turkey and apply before the enrollment deadline.

Students who graduated from TRNC high schools and earned a high school diploma are not required to obtain an Equivalence Letter.

Apostille Processes of International High School Graduation Documents (For International Students and/or Blue Card Holders)

Apostille is a document approval system that ensures the authenticity of a document and its legal use in another country. You can do the apostille procedures from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country where your high school is located. For Equivalency Letter procedures, high school graduation documents must be apostilled. We strongly remind you that you must complete the apostille process of all your high school graduation certificates that have been accepted by the OzU International Office before you come to Turkey, since the Equivalency Letter is not issued for non-apostilled high school graduation documents and you can only complete the apostille process from your home country.

International students/blue card holders who have completed their high school education abroad are required to have their high school diplomas/graduation certificates/exam results/certificates apostilled or certified by the embassy/consulate of the country that issued the document. We strongly remind you that failure to obtain these certifications will result in the termination of your affiliation with our University.

Preparation of Enrollment Documents and Enrollment Procedures

Please make sure your enrollment documents are prepared thoroughly completely. Enrollments will not be completed with missing documents. Detailed information about enrollment procedures and required documents can be found under the ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES tab below.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
FIRST STEP -> Filling Out the Student Information Form

After completing your enrollment documents in full, you must fill in the Student Information Form completely and accurately, upload your enrollment documents to the online enrollment form in full.

You can find the detailed information as to how to fill out the Student Information Form here.

The form will be activated for you to access after the invitation letter to the registration has been sent to you. The username required to enter the forms is determined as the student number assigned to you and your year of birth. For instance, if you student number is S099999 and you were born in 1993, you should enter S0999991993 in the username nox. You will need a desktop or laptop computer to access the form; you cannot access the form with a tablet or mobile phone.

Important Note: You will be asked to enter your personal e-mail address in the Student Enrollment Information Form. Since this information will be used to create the password for your OzU.Net account, it is important to enter an active e-mail address.

SECOND STEP -> Tuition Fee Payment

Fees denominated in USD can also be paid in TL. For TL payments, the indicative buying rate determined by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey one business day prior will be used.

TL payments can only be made through the Özyeğin University E-Payment website or Fibabanka branches. For detailed information on TL payments, please see the Payment Methods page. For detailed information on payments in Turkish Lira (TL), please visit the Payment Methodspage.

Payments denominated in USD can only be made by bank transfer to the University's USD bank account. Since banks may charge commission fees for USD money transfers, we strongly advise you to consider any potential commission fees when making a transfer to ensure your tuition fee payment is complete.

For payments from abroad, bank transfers take time to reach accounts. If you are considering making an international bank transfer, we strongly advise you not to leave your payment transactions until the last minute and to take processing times into account. The payment is considered complete only after the transfer process is finished and the payment has reached the university's account. Once the payment reaches the university's account, you can check and confirm your payment status via the E-Payment website. If there is a commission deduction by the bank, you can complete the payment of the missing amount.

(R) Student Visa Copy: International students are obligated to obtain a student visa for their enrollment and Equivalency Letter procedures. Please make sure you apply for the student visa before arriving in Türkiye.

(NR) Proof of English Language Proficiency: All students must submit a valid examination result of a national or international exam recognized by the University to prove their English language proficiency, or take exams organized by the University. (RBLAW) Proof of Turkish Language Proficiency: The proof of Turkish language proficiency is required from international students for enrolling in Turkish-medium academic program (Bachelor of Laws) only. Students who obtained at least B1 (Intermediate) level score in the Turkish Proficiency Examinations administered by TÖMER or any other examination centers accredited by the Higher Education Council are deemed to have fulfilled the Turkish proficiency requirement provided that their exam results are still valid.

(R) Biometric Photograph

(R) Residence Permit: If available, a copy of the front and back of your current valid residence permit. Applications from individuals without a residence permit are processed by our University's International Office.

(R) Private Health Insurance: Private health insurance is mandatory before registration. You must upload your private health insurance policy to the registration system. Private health insurance is handled by our University's International Office.

Additional Required Documents for Undergraduate Professional Flight Programme:

  • a. Class I Certificate by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation in accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex-1 Class 1: You must obtain the original and a copy of a Class 1 medical certificate, compliant with ICAO Annex 1 Class 1 regulations, from a healthcare institution authorized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (GDCA). A list of authorized aviation medical centers can be found on the official GDCA website. We would like to remind you that the relevant health report can only be obtained from Turkey, and students without a health report will not be able to register. Therefore, you must plan your travel to Turkey in a way that allows you to obtain and present this document during registration.
  • b. Archived Criminal Record Certificate: An archived criminal record certificate obtained from the Public Prosecutor's Offices within the last month. Turkish citizens can obtain this document through the Criminal Record Inquiry Form on the e-government system. To create an archived document, you must select "Official" in the Institution Type field and "Other" in the Reason for Issuance field. Foreign students must apply to the Public Prosecutor's Offices to obtain this document.
  • c. Training Contract

POST-ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
OZU Account Password Procedure (For All Students)

After your enrollment is complete, an email will be sent to the personal email address you provided in the Student Information Form so you can create a password for your OzU.Net account, which you will use to access the University systems. You must create your password within 24 hours by following the instructions in this email.

Student ID Card (For All Students)

Student ID cards are used upon entering the university and allow you to access various facilities such as the dormitory, library, cafeteria, photocopying, and printing. You will receive an email notification regarding your student card after registering with the university.

English Language Proficiency Exams (For All Students)

Students enrolled in English-medium programs are required to take English language proficiency exams administered by the University. Newly enrolled students will be notified of the exam location, date, and time. While it is not mandatory for students enrolled in Bachelor of Laws (Turkish-medium program) to participate in these exams, it is recommended.

Course Registration (For All Students)

Course registration is the process of selecting the courses to be taken during the related semester. At our university, the courses to be taken in the English Preparatory Program and the first semester of the first year of undergraduate programs are predetermined, and course registration is handled by Student Services. However, students who have transferred courses for the first semester of the first year of undergraduate programs must complete their first semester course registration themselves during the course registration period.

In subsequent semesters, in order to register for courses, it is necessary to register for the courses to be taken during the semester online through the Student Information System (SIS) at the beginning of each semester, after paying the semester tuition fee within the periods specified in the academic calendar.

At the beginning of each new semester, a course registration announcement is prepared to assist and guide our students during the course registration process. You can access the course registration announcement on myOzU before the start of each semester.

Residence Permit (For International Students)

A residence permit is a legal document that foreign nationals who wish to remain in Turkey after their visa or visa exemption period expires are required to apply for. It is legally mandatory for every foreign student who will be studying in Turkey to obtain a student residence permit (residence permit).

Residence permit application processes are handled by our University's International Office. We remind you that you are obligated to start your residence permit process promptly after your university enrollment, and you can contact the International Office for all necessary details.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where can I find my student number and ozu email address?

You will be able to access your student number and OzU email address from the Enrollment Letter to be sent by the Student Services.

How can I enroll? When are the enrollment periods? What time shall we come?

University enrollments will be taken online. The dates are specified in the Enrollment Letter sent to you.

It is not possible for me to complete my enrollment within the enrollment periods. Could I complete my enrollment if I come before or after the enrollment periods?

No. Candidates who do not complete their enrollment within the specified periods will lose their right to enroll in the University.

What documents should I upload to the Student Information Form?

You can access the required registration documents from the ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES tab above.

I have a missing document. Could I register with missing document? I will submit my missing document later.

No. Enrollment procedures cannot be completed with missing documents.

I cannot obtain my Equivalency Letter from my own country. Will I be unable to register? Can I submit the Equivalency Letter later?

If you have not yet obtained your Equivalency Certificate, you can complete your registration by signing a Letter of Undertaking during the registration process. Letter of Undertaking can be found in the ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES tab above.

Do I have to get a residence permit? If I have to, how do I apply?

Yes. (MNE. TTKB. letter numbered 2236435 and dated 28/08/2013) Foreign students are required to apply for a residence permit within 30 days of entering Turkey before the visa period expires. It may take approximately 90 days for residence permits to be ready. Students who have applied for residence permit should not leave Turkey before the application period is completed and they obtain a residence permit.

Do I have to get private health insurance? If so, how do I apply?

International students wishing to study in Turkey are required to obtain private health insurance from Turkey in order to obtain a residence permit and complete their enrollment. Our International Office provides the necessary guidance to our students. You can contact our International Office for all the necessary details.

For the medical reports of the Aviation Management program: Does the hospital public / private matter? Do I have to get it from Turkey?

It does not matter whether the hospital where the medical report will be taken is public / private; it is enough to be fully fledged. A medical report can be obtained from any state hospital, university hospital or private hospital in accordance with the specified criteria. You can also obtain the health report from your own country.

How can I obtain the Class-1 certificate for the Professional Flight program? Do I have to get it from Turkey?

I have courses from a different university/I changed my major at OzU. What should I do for course transfer procedures?

After the enrollment process, the students whose courses will/can be transferred must apply to the administrative officials of the Faculty they are enrolled in with their transcript and course description documents and submit a course transfer petition.

How much are the tuition fees? How much should I pay? Can I make the payment after enrollment?

In order to complete the university enrollment, the tuition fee must be paid first. You can find information about fees here. The 1000 USD prepayment fee you paid at the time of application and acceptance will be deducted from your tuition fee payment for the 2025-2026 Fall semester, and you will pay the remaining amount.

I changed my mind about enrolling to your university. Can I get a refund of the 1000 USD prepayment fee?

Prepayment fees are not refundable for any reason other than visa refusal.

Except for the Law program, all undergraduate programs at Özyeğin University require an English Preparatory program.

In the Law program, the English Preparatory program is optional. You can choose not to take the entrance exam, but if you do not meet the language proficiency requirements, you will not be able to register for elective courses offered in languages ​​other than Turkish. International students enrolled in programs where the language of instruction is entirely or partially Turkish are required to provide documentation of their Turkish language proficiency.

What is the score I need to get in order to be successful in your university's English proficiency exams?

1st stage – Students will be considered successful if they get at least 48 out of 70 from the Online PLACEMENT exam. Successful students grade “S”; The grade of unsuccessful students will be announced as “U”.
