OzU English Proficiency Tests

Newly admitted international students may take the following English proficiency examinations for the 2023 Fall semester:

• The abovementioned tests can be taken by students who have duly completed their university enrollments.
• TRACE examination can only be taken if students can succeed in Placement examination.
• A student may take the Placement and TRACE examinations only once. If the student has achieved a grade, the student’s level is determined and announced based on his/her score. The student is not granted a right to re-take the examination.
• Students who had technical issues while taking their Early Bird PLACEMENT or TRACE examinations may take the General PLACEMENT and TRACE examinations as their make-up examinations.
• It is highly recommended that students take the exams on September 11-12 at the latest so that they can follow up on their academic processes properly.
• Students who are unable to take these exams can sit the late registration Placement-TRACE exams. The dates of these exams will be announced later, and these exams will be held face-to-face during the add-drop period. However, in such a case, please note that these students may complete their course registrations at the end of the add-drop period only.
• Students who are exempt from the English proficiency requirement will not be re-admitted to the exams.

• Students to take the Online Placement and Online TRACE examinations are highly recommended to take the practice tests which are available in the LMS before sitting their actual examinations. Taking the practice test is also highly important for you to see whether you have the necessary technical equipment for the proctoring method to be used in the exam. 
• Further details about how to take the practice test and the actual exams will be sent separately to the students' email accounts with the extension ozu.edu.tr before the exam dates.
