Employment Opportunities for International Students at Özyeğin University
At Özyeğin University (OzU), we understand the importance of gaining professional experience during your studies. While Turkish regulations restrict international students from obtaining a work permit during their studies, OzU offers alternative avenues for employment and professional development.
Work & Study Program
OzU provides a Work & Study program, allowing international students to work as teaching or research assistants or in administrative roles within the university voluntarily. These positions are designed to help you gain valuable experience and contribute to the OzU community. Please note that these opportunities are limited and subject to availability.
On-Campus Part-Time Opportunities
For Turkish citizens and eligible international students, OzU offers part-time on-campus job opportunities through the Professional Development Unit. These positions provide professional experience and financial support. Students are recruited directly by university units and are insured part-time employees, receiving hourly wages based on their total hours worked during the month. Ineligible international students can work on a volunteer basis in open positions.
LinkProfessional Platform
OzU utilizes the LinkProfessional platform to share part-time job postings with students. To apply for these positions, you must upload your resume to LinkProfessional in the OzU template format. Once your resume is approved, you can apply for posted jobs by clicking the "APPLY/BAŞVUR" button on the job advertisement.
Important Considerations
- Residence Permit: All international students must obtain a valid residence permit within one month of arrival in Turkey. This permit is essential for legal residence and potential employment (graduate students).
- Health Insurance: Adequate health insurance is mandatory for obtaining a residence permit and for your well-being during your stay in Turkey.
- Legal Compliance: Engaging in employment without the appropriate permits can lead to legal consequences, including deportation. Always ensure that you have the necessary permissions before accepting any employment.
