What is a Student Residence Permit?

A residence permit is an official document that allows foreign students to stay in Turkey legally. You must apply before your visa or legal stay period expires.

Why is it important?

With a residence permit, you can:

• Enter/exit Turkey without a visa
• Use student discount cards for public transportation
• Open a bank account and rent an apartment Pay utilities and register your phone

The International Office will guide you through the process, but it is your responsibility to meet deadlines and follow up on your application.
