Deniz Eren

Sustainability, Safety and Quality Director

Deniz Eren serves as Sustainability, Safety and Quality Director. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2000.  She holds Class A Occupational Safety Expert, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, and Trainer's Training certifications. She is also certified as a Lead Auditor for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. After working for many years in the fields of Management Systems and HSE across a broad range of industries (HSE), Deniz Eren joined Özyeğin University in September 2024.

Meral Işık

Process Development and Quality Manager

As of September 2024, Meral Işık has been serving as the Process Development and Quality Manager. She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business in 1999. Between 1999 and 2007, she worked at IBM (International Business Machines) Türk Limited Company. Since 2008, she has been employed at Özyeğin University. Her contributions include the establishment and implementation of Altunizade and Çekmeköy campuses (2008-2013), serving as Process Management Manager(2013-2015), leading the Solution Center Application Ownership (2015-2024), overseeing the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) Compliance Project and Personal Data Contact Responsibility (2017-2023), managing administrative software applications and campus digital transformation projects under the IT Corporate Solutions Directorate (2018-2023), and serving as the IT Service and Process Development Manager (2023).

She holds ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) Internal Auditor certifications. Additionally, she has been a member of the Campus Services Advisory Board since 2015.

Erdi Tüzün

HSE Engineer

Erdi Tüzün joined Özyeğin University in 2016 as a Health & Safety and Environment Engineer. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2013 and graduated from the Emergency and Disaster Management Program at Ataturk University in 2020. He completed internships at the Environment Laboratory at ITU, Construction Department at Garanti Bank, and at the Directorate of Environmental Protection and Control at Ataşehir Municipality in 2011, 2012, and 2013, respectively. He served as a Part-Time Assistant in the Human Resources Department at Garanti Bank from 2008 to 2011 and worked as a Reporting Specialist in the Reporting Department at the AEM Environment Laboratory from 2013 to 2014. Tüzün holds a Class B Occupational Safety Expertise Certificate, a NEBOSH Certificate (International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety), an ITU Quality Management Certificate, as well as Working at Height Trainer, Fire Fighting Trainer and Consultant Certificates. He also has Internal Auditor certificates for Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System). Additionally, he has completed  AKUT (Search and Rescue Association), First Aid and Fire Fighting training programs. Through his training in Sustainability Management, Sustainable Development Expertise, and Sustainability Performance Indicators (including ISO 14064-1 Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation and ISO 14046 Corporate Water Footprint Calculation), Tüzün integrates sustainability into Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems, thereby supporting the University's sustainability strategy.

Ahmet Bilir

HSE Uzmanı

Ahmet Bilir has been working as HSE Specialist at the Health, Safety and Environment Department at Özyeğin University since 2023. He holds a Class C Occupational Safety certificate from the Ministry of Labor, and presently serves as the official Occupational Safety Expert at Özyeğin University. Bilir also holds a first aid certificate and Internal Auditor certificates for Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System). Additionally, he is certified as a Fire Extinguishing Trainer, Fire Risk Assessment Trainer, Scaffolding Supervisor, and Log-Out/Tag-Out Trainer. He also hold certificates as a Working at Heights Trainer, Confined Space Trainer, and Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Trainer.

Dr. Ahmet Murat Albayrak

Occupational Physician

Murat Albayrak has been working as an occupational physician at the Health Center at Özyeğin University since 2017.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Medicine at 19 Mayıs University, Samsun in 1994. He worked for public institutions from 1994 through 2013. He has been serving as occupational physician since 2013.

Sibel Beyaz

Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

Sibel Beyaz has been serving as a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist at Özyeğin University since December 2025. She received her bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Süleyman Demirel University in 2015. She completed a non-thesis master's program in Occupational Health and Safety at Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University in 2019. She completed her internships in 2013 and 2014 at the Paşaköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ). In 2018, she worked as an Occupational Safety Specialist at Anka Group for the ÖZAK GYO Büyükyalı Project. Between 2019 and 2021, she served as an Occupational Safety Specialist at Detam Group OSGB. From 2021 to 2025, she worked as an Occupational Safety Specialist at Omsan Logistics Inc. She holds a Class B Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, and internal auditor certificates for ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System, as well as a First Aid Certificate.
