Double-major students must select one of their programs during the application. It is not possible to apply from the minor program.
The Turkish National Agency reserves the right to modify the program rules. In the case of changes, the IEPP Office will inform all applicants accordingly.
The Erasmus Language Exam (ELE) 2026 will be held on Saturday, 21 February 2026, at 13:00, physically on campus. The ELE will be administered by the ScOLa, and exam places will be announced after the application deadline.
- The ELE will include the following sections: Reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and paragraph writing.
- You can review the sample exam with the answer key here to help with your preparation.
- The ELE scores will be published in mid-March.
- The 2026 ELE result will be valid for 2 years (covering the application calls for both 2026 & 2027). 2025 ELE scores are also valid and can be used for this application period. If you have ELE scores from both 2025 and 2026, the higher score will be considered.
- Other standardized language exam scores (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.) will not be considered valid for the application.
There will be a make-up exam on Friday, February 27th, 2026. Students can apply for the make-up exam only if they meet the following conditions:
- Submission of a valid health/medical report documenting the excuse,
- Submission of a document confirming the loss of a first-degree relative,
- Being officially assigned to represent OzU at a social, cultural, sports, and promotional event.
All make-up exam requests will be reviewed by the ScOLa. Students whose requests are approved will receive an invitation. Students whose excuses are considered invalid will be notified accordingly.
Ranking Criteria, Evaluation and Placement Results
- Students who meet the application requirements and submit their application before the deadline will be evaluated by the “Exchange Programs Commission”.
- A ranking score will be calculated for all eligible applicants.
- Students will be ranked within their faculty/school.
- Ranking will be based on the Erasmus score, which is calculated as the sum of a base score and a benchmark score:
- The base score is the sum of 50% of the Erasmus Language Exam score and 50% of the CGPA, converted to a 100-point scale as determined by the Council of Higher Education.
- The benchmark score is determined based on the current criteria published by the Turkish National Agency. The benchmark score can be positive or negative.
- If Erasmus scores are equal after all criteria are applied, ranking priority will be determined in the following order:
- The student with the higher CGPA will be given priority
- If CGPAs are equal, priority will be given to the student in the higher year of study within the same level of education.
- If equality still remains, the student who has completed a higher number of credits will have priority subject to the approval of the Exchange Programs Commission and the Turkish National Agency (NA).
- The evaluation and placement results are planned to be announced at the end of March. Erasmus grant announcements will be made during the summer period. Further information is provided below under Section 11.
- Students are required to confirm their placement results by submitting the Commitment Form by Monday, 30 March 2026, 23:59 at the latest; otherwise, they will not be nominated to the partner university, and their applications will be canceled automatically. Information on how to submit the form will be shared with placed students.
- Changing the partner university you are placed in will not be possible.
- Any objections to the results must be submitted in writing within three (3) days of the result announcement date. The Exchange Programs Commission will review all objections, and the relevant students will be notified of the outcome once the evaluation process is completed.
- If placed students change their academic program at OzU (horizontal and vertical transfer) after the placement result, their exchange mobility will be canceled.
Additional Criteria for the Benchmark Score
To qualify for extra points, students must submit the relevant documents at the time of application. Benchmark scores will be applied to the Erasmus score.
(-) Students who have previously participated in the Erasmus+ program at the same study level will have 10 points deducted for each participation.
(-) Students who withdrew from the program in previous years after submitting the commitment form will have 10 points deducted for each withdrawal.
(-) Students who wish to participate in the program in their countries of citizenship will have 10 points deducted.
(-) Placed students who did not attend the mandatory orientation sessions before without a valid excuse will have 5 points deducted.
(-) Students who register for the ELE and not attend without a valid excuse will have 5 points deducted if they reapply for the Erasmus+ Program.
(+) Students with disabilities will receive an additional 10 points.1
(+) Students who are the children of Veterans/Martyrs will be given an extra 15 points. 2
(+) Students who themselves or their first-degree relatives receive disaster financial support from AFAD will be given an extra 10 points.3 Students who apply to both the Study and Traineeship Mobility must declare which of their applications they would like the extra points to be applied to. An extra 10 points can only be given to one of the applications the student chose in his/her petition.

Furthermore, in line with Article 7 of Decree numbered 667 dated 23 July 2016, priority is granted to civilians who became disabled, and the spouses and children of these civilians, as well as the spouses and children of those who lost their lives due to the coup attempt and terrorist acts on 15/07/2016, when applying for Erasmus traineeship mobility.
3 This is applied on a one-time basis for each level of study (undergraduate, graduate, PhD) and for each project type (KA131–KA171). It will not be applied to the student’s subsequent applications if the student has already participated in the program. However, if the student does not participate in the program due to withdrawal before submitting the commitment form or because of force majeure, the additional points will continue to be applied in subsequent applications.

Financial Support
Availability of Mobility Grant based on ranking within the faculty/school, according to the budget allocated to OzU by the Turkish National Agency. It will be allocated for the whole study duration of the selected participant.
It is planned to allocate the Erasmus+ grant (mobility & travel) to 1 student placed to Kosovo under the scope of the 2025 Erasmus+ ICM project (2025-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000343009).
The eligible student will also receive financial support for the 2 travel days before and after the mobility.
While the selected student will be awarded with the Erasmus+ Grant, it is also possible to participate in the program as a 'zero grant' student if requested.
| Receiving Country | Grant Amount (monthly) |
|
Kosovo |
700 EUR |
Please note that these are subject to change and based on the number of eligible applications.
Mobility grants provide partial financial support only, so students are expected to have additional resources to cover essential living expenses.
Details about the Erasmus+ mobility grant can be found on our website and presentation.
Travel Support
The eligible student will also receive Travel Support in order to contribute to the travel expenses.
Grant for travel support will be allocated according to the distance from the host institution's city. The distance calculator provided by the European Commission determines the km value between the starting point of the mobility and the place where the activity takes place, according to the table below:
| Receiving Country | Travel Grant Amount | Green Travel Amount |
| Kosovo | 309 EUR | 417 EUR |
The selected student will also be allocated the Erasmus+ Mobility Grant for their travel days before and after the mobility period, up to a maximum of 2 days (up to a maximum of 6 days if green travel is used).
The kilometer shown in the distance band calculator is the round-trip figure for the grant in the table below, and the amount in question is not multiplied by two. As a general rule, participants are expected to travel with low-emission transportation vehicles for distances under 500 km.
Green Travel
Students can receive a higher amount of travel grant if they are travelling according to "green travel."
Green travel is defined as travel that uses low-emission modes of transport for the majority of the trip, such as buses, trains, or carpooling. If the mobility period includes only one direction of travel, the student is not eligible for green travel support. The use of an electric car is not considered green travel unless the vehicle is shared with at least one other participant. All green travel support requests will be evaluated individually, and support can only be provided after the approval of the Turkish National Agency (TR NA).
Exchange students who have been awarded a grant and who are financially and/or socially disadvantaged may receive an additional grant during their exchange term. In order to benefit from this additional grant, students must submit the required document(s) from the official authorities.
The amount of the additional grant is 250 EUR per month, for a maximum of 2 months.
Please note that receiving the KYK Scholarship or Loan does not make you eligible for the additional grant.
Eligible applicants are:
- Students who are subject to the decision of protection, care, and shelter based on Act No. 2828 Ministry of Family and Social Services Law;
- Students who are subject to the decision of protection, care, and shelter based on Act No. 5395 Child Protection Law;
