The details of the application announcement:

1 - General Information

The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program offers full/part-time academic staff the opportunity to undertake a short teaching visit to a higher education institution outside Europe, with funding available for travel costs and subsistence. This activity allows HEI teaching staff or staff from enterprises to teach at a partner HEI abroad. Staff mobility for teaching can be in any subject area/academic discipline. In the case of teaching assignments between higher education institutions in third countries associated to the Programme, both institutions must have signed an inter-institutional agreement. The partner higher education institution must have agreed on the activities to be undertaken by the visiting teachers (Mobility Agreement) before the start of the mobility period. In all cases, the activities of staff undertaking a teaching assignment should preferably be integrated into the curriculum of the receiving institution.

In line with the 2024-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000237669 Erasmus+ project, OzU has an Erasmus+ grant that allows funding for approximately 2 participants for a minimum of 5 days of mobility + travel grant + 2 days of travel days outside of mobility dates. Please note that these are subject to change, and based on the number of eligible applications, unused quotas between different types of mobilities are transferable.

A teaching visit will allow OzU staff to:

✓ experience new teaching environments and acquire new innovative pedagogical and curriculum design skills
✓ exchange good practices and enhance cooperation between higher education institutions
✓ develop your international network and share your expertise
✓ connect with your colleagues abroad to develop common activities

2- Duration of Mobility

A teaching period must last a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 2 months. This excludes traveling time. During your stay abroad, the teaching activity must comprise a minimum of 8 hours per week (or any shorter period of stay) of actual teaching time. Mobilities shorter than 2 days will not be considered valid unless a force majeure event is invoked. Please kindly note that the mobility activity must be completed by the end of July 2027.

3 - Application Process

The online application system is the TURNA Portal integrated with the e-government   (e-devlet) system, and it will be active between  9 September and 30 September 2026, 13:00. If you do not have an e-devlet password, it will not be possible to submit an application. Therefore, please ensure that you have access to the e-devlet system.

Detailed application instructions for the online platform can be found here.

The applicant must meet the following conditions:

  1. To be a full-time or part-time actively working faculty member at Ozyegin University,
  2. To submit the invitation letter during the application period.
    • The invitation letter must be signed and stamped by the host institution must include the mobility start and end dates in day/month/year format.
    • If you plan to upload a language certificate for a language other than English to the application portal, your invitation letter must explicitly state that your mobility will be conducted in that particular language.
  3. To satisfy the minimum teaching hours (min 8 hours) per week specified in the National Agency’s current Implementation Guideline,
  4. To submit the Visit Objectives Form, signed by the dean of the faculty, confirming that the proposed mobility objectives and dates align with the faculty’s activities and schedule.

Important Notes:

  • Unless due to force majeure (such as the host institution cancelling the mobility or visa rejection), changes to the host institution and mobility dates cannot be made after the application period has concluded.
  • The evaluation results are expected to be released by late October. Following the publication of the results, staff will be required to confirm their participation by submitting a Commitment Form (deadline TBA)
  • As all mobilities must be completed by the end of July 2027, there is limited time to complete all the required documentation. Therefore, we strongly recommend that staff members who already hold a valid visa apply for the programme.

6 - Teaching Opportunities

Please note that for the teaching mobility, an official inter-institutional agreement is required between the home and host institutions.

Partner Institutions: Please click here to review the list of partner institutions/quotas for staff teaching mobility. Partner institutions may not be able to accept staff teaching requests due to their workload and/or internal procedures. Should you need the contact information of a partner institution, please consult our office.

Other options: You may individually apply to any higher education institution/organization in the Program Countries (see the table under “Daily Grant” for the list of all program countries); however, please note that an agreement between the host institution and OzU is required for staff teaching mobility. In such cases, you can contact our office for further assistance.

Staff members can also visit our  webpage  for general procedures.

7 - Erasmus+ grants

The Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility grant allows funding for 2 participant for 5 days of mobility + travel grant + 2 days of travel days outside of mobility dates. EU grants provide a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad and vary depending on the receiving country and the distance between your country and the receiving country.

The applications awarded with a grant receive daily grants for up to 5 days and travel support (the amount of the grants are indicated in the tables below). The duration of the mobility is determined by the dates specified in the invitation letter, with a maximum of 5 days eligible for funding. The grant is calculated on a daily basis. For example, if the mobility is planned for 3 days, the staff member will receive 3 days' worth of the grant, provided they are eligible to participate in the program with the grant.

Please note that remote activities are not eligible for financial support. If you are not awarded a grant, it is also possible to participate in the Erasmus+ staff training mobility as a 'zero-grant' participant.

Green Travel Support

Green travel is defined as using low-emission means of transportation for the majority of travel, such as buses, trains, or carpooling. To benefit from green travel support, participants use low-emission means of transport for their round trips. A one-way trip with low-emission transport is not sufficient to be eligible for green travel support. Since this process is newly included in the Erasmus+ program, all green travel support requests will be evaluated individually and support can only be provided after the approval of the Turkish National Agency.

8 – Inclusion Support for Special Needs

Staff with special needs can apply for additional grants. According to the Turkish National Agency, a special needs person is defined as someone whose individual, physical, mental, or health-related conditions are such that his/her participation in Erasmus+ would not be possible without any extra financial support.

In order for a staff member to be considered for the Inclusion Support, staff must inform our office about their circumstances before the application period is over, provide official documentation of their disability, and declare the specific needs related to their condition. If the participant requests an Inclusion Support grant, the approximate costs and justifications must be declared to our office. Our office will submit requests to the Turkish National Agency for evaluation.
