Title: Temperature Extremes and Credit

Abstract: We provide novel evidence of spatial rationing of credit by banks across regions that differ in the likelihood of extreme temperatures. Our empirical evidence suggests that financial intermediaries adapt their lending strategies to account for climate change, which affects the likelihood of extreme temperatures and that of intense climate-related disasters.
