Erasmus+ Öğrenim ve Staj Hareketliliği Başvuruları

Dear Students,

We would like to inform you that 2021-22 Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobility applications will be active between 5 – 19 February 2021, 13:00. Please be advised that late applications will not be accepted. You may apply online for the Erasmus+ Programs through the KION application system. Please read carefully the details about both study and traineeship mobility applications below.

If you would like to apply for both mobility programs, you must fill out two separate applications on the system. In this case, 10 points will be deducted from your Erasmus Score for your traineeship application based on multiple participation rules.

Erasmus+ Study Mobility Application

Erasmus+ study mobility application will start on 5 February 2021 and end on 19 February 2021 at 13:00. You must apply online and submit the application form before the deadline. You can select up to four institutions at the time of application. You cannot ask for a change in your application form (change of semester/institution, etc.) after the given deadline. Final instructions on the application steps with screenshots will be shared before the application period starts.

Erasmus Language Exam

Erasmus Language Exam (ELE) 2021 will be held on Friday, 26 February 2021. The content and method of the exam (online or face-to-face) will be determined in accordance with the Spring term instructional methods. As such, further information regarding the ELE 2021 will be announced via myOzU as soon as an executive decision regarding the upcoming semester is made. Thus, we strongly recommend that you follow the announcements frequently.

UPDATE: You may review the reminder announcement to have details of the ELE.

If you have taken the ELE in February 2020 and have a valid score, you do not need to retake the exam since ELE scores are valid for two academic years. Other standardized language exam scores (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE) will not be considered valid for the Erasmus evaluation/ranking.

There will be a make-up exam on 4th March 2021, Thursday. Students can only apply for the make-up exam if they meet the following requirements:

  • Having a health/medical report documenting your health excuse,
  • Having a document showing that you have lost your first-degree relative,
  • Being assigned to a social, cultural, sports and promotional event in order to represent the university.

Your request for taking the make-up exam will be considered by ScOLa, and if accepted, you will be invited to the exam by the International Office including the details. Students whose excuses are considered invalid will be notified by e-mail that they will not be able to take the exam.

Students will be asked to confirm their placements to partner institutions soon after the results are announced. Placed students must submit their commitment forms and any additional language requirements via the KION system by Tuesday, 30 March 2021 at the latest; otherwise they will not be nominated to the partner institutions and their applications will be canceled automatically.

Erasmus+ Grants

Please note that a limited amount of Erasmus grant is allocated to OzU by the Turkish National Agency (TR NA). Generally, it is announced in summer, thus grant distribution results can be published in summer soon after TR NA’s announcement and that means study mobility grants will not be published with the placement results.

Since the grant amount is limited, the Erasmus grant is not guaranteed to every student who has been placed for an exchange semester. So, it is possible to participate in the program as a ‘zero grant’ student. Availability is based on ranking within the faculty. If a student receives a grant, the monthly amount given depends on the host country and the student can be funded for maximum 4 months of the exchange period.

Details about the Erasmus+ grant and monthly amount can be found on our website and the above-mentioned presentation. The monthly amounts and rules regarding the Erasmus+ grant are based on 2020 Erasmus+ Program rules. In case of any changes in the Erasmus+ grants in 2021, students will be informed.

Second Placement Round

  • Students who are eligible but not placed during the 1st evaluation period due to quotas will be considered for the remaining quotas during the 2nd placement round.
  • Students who are placed during the 1st evaluation period will not be considered for the 2nd placement round. Students cannot ask for a change in the institution they are placed to. Therefore, students are required to make the institution selections very carefully.
  • 2nd placement round will take place in Summer 2021 and students who are placed during this round will only be able to choose the 2021-22 Spring semester as their exchange period.
  • Eligible students will be notified by the International Office in the summer.
